The Syndicate Band was formed in the early 70's after years of traveling and performing all over the country with Clarence Carter. Clarence Carter is a well known recording artist with hits such as 'Slip Away', 'Too Weak To Fight', 'Tell Daddy', and 'Patches'. Getting tired of living out of suitcases and performing in different cities nightly, members of the Clarence Carter Band (Marcus Daniel, Wilbur Terrell, and William Armstrong) decided to leave the road and come back to Montgomery, AL to form a band and perform locally. That band became known as 'The Syndicate Band'.
During the first few years of operation, the Syndicate Band performed as house bands for local Night Clubs in the Montgomery area. This setup was very convenient because all musicians in the band had permanent day jobs and there was no traveling involved. This was the perfect way for all members in the band to spend more time at home with their families and continue with their music career. The Syndicate Band worked hard during the early years to make a name for themselves and not to be known as Clarence Carter's former band.
After years of playing in local night clubs, the Syndicate Band decided to venture out and test the waters playing for different organizations at private functions which is now the band's specialty.
The Syndicate Band takes pride in conducting themselves as professionals. All members in the band are well educated with full time jobs and are drug free. Currently, there are eight members in the Band which includes six musicians, one featured male vocalist, and one featured female vocalist.
The Syndicate Band is based out of Montgomery, Alabama and is available for travel within a 200 mile radius of Montgomery.
